Hans Florine

Hans Florine ( born June 18, 1964 in Fort Lee, Virginia), also known as Hollywood Hans, is an American speed and free climbers. He lives in Moraga, California.

On 12 October 2008, he has needed together with Yuji Hirayama 2 hours, 37 minutes and 5 seconds for the ascent of The Nose route on El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. This record was undercut on November 6, 2010 by Sean Leary and Dean Potter with a time of 2 hours, 36 minutes and 45 seconds. In June 2012, Hans Florine was able to improve the best time to 2:23:46 and Alex Honnold.

Hans Florine won the 1991 in Frankfurt in the first climbing World Cup in speed climbing discipline, he also was at the X Games in speed climbing in the years 1995 to 2000 unbeaten.
