Hans Folz

Hans Folz (* 1435/1440 in Worms, † January 1513 in Nuremberg ) was a German barber and Meistersinger.

Hans Folz was from 1459 citizens of Nuremberg, where he was certified in 1486 as a barber masters. He is regarded as a reformer of the Master Sang, as he broke through the conventions in force to date, and place of the allowable twelve tones of the " Old Masters " another 27 new sounds established. Its about 100 master songs dedicated to primarily religious issues. In addition, twelve Shrovetide games are ascribed which are stylistically in the tradition of Hans Rosenplüts, but linguistically distinguished by a finer garment tere language.
