Hans Hugo Klein

Hans Hugo Klein ( * August 5, 1936 in Karlsruhe ) is a German jurist and politician of the CDU, who was from 1983 to 1996 Judge at the Federal Constitutional Court.

Life

Klein studied after graduating from the Bismarck -Gymnasium Karlsruhe 1954 law in Heidelberg and Munich, where he also completed his PhD in 1961. He then moved to the Administration Service of Baden-Württemberg, but lost not a scientific career from the eyes, which to habilitation on " participation of the state in economic competition " at Ernst Forsthoff led at the University of Heidelberg in 1967. In 1969, Hans Hugo Klein to an appointment as Professor of Public Law at the University of Göttingen, where he taught until his retirement in 2001. In 1970, he joined the Christian Democratic Union, which until 1983 he was a member of the German Bundestag from 1972. He retired in 1972, 1976 and 1980 over the national list of Lower Saxony CDU in parliament and won in 1983 the direct mandate in the electoral district of Göttingen.

From 1982 to 1983 he was under Hans A. Engelhard also Parliamentary Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Justice.

In 1983 he was appointed as a judge at the Federal Constitutional Court. During his tenure at the Court of Small was a member of the Second Chamber of the Court.
