Hans Jacob Nielsen

Hans Jacob Nielsen ( born September 2, 1899 in Næstved, † February 6, 1967 in Aalborg ) was a Danish boxer in the spring and lightweight.

Nielsen took the first time at featherweight at the Olympics in 1920 in Antwerp part, but was defeated there in the second round by James Cater. At the Olympic Games four years later in Paris, he won the gold medal in the lightweight through a final victory against Alfredo Copello. In 1928, he tried to defend his Olympic title, but lost in the semifinals to eventual Olympic champion Carlo Orlandi. Through his subsequent defeat by Gunnar Berggren he could not even win the bronze medal and finished fourth.
