Hans-Jürgen Berger

Hans -Jürgen Berger ( born September 21, 1951 in Remscheid ) is a former German athlete who competed for the Federal Republic of Germany at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal.

He won with 7.87 m silver medal in the long jump at the European Indoor Championships 1975 in Katowice, Poland.

1976 Berger was German champion in the long jump. 1974, 1975 and 1979, he came second in the National Indoor Championships and 1974 German outdoor runner-up. His best performance was 8.00 m (1976 in Fürth ). Overall, Berger played 23 international matches.

Hans -Jürgen Berger belonged to the TuS 04 Leverkusen and trained with Gerd Osenberg. In its competition time, he was 1.82 m tall and about 74 kg.
