Hans Klodt

Johann " Hans " Klodt ( born June 10, 1914 in Gelsenkirchen, † November 7, 1996 ) was a German football player. He was the older brother of Bernhard Klodt, who was with the German national soccer team in Switzerland Soccer World Cup 1954.

Hans Klodt played like his brother for the FC Schalke 04 Between 1936 and 1948 he stood in the gate of Gelsenkirchen and in 1937 both German champion as well Tschammer Cup winner. In 1942 and 1943 he was represented because of a war injury by Heinz Flotho and thus missed winning the championship in 1942.

His career, however, did not start at Schalke 04 but at BV Gelsenkirchen Schalke 12 in 1948, he left toward Beckum, where he was active until 1955.

In the German national team, he brought it to 1938-1941 to a total of 17 appearances.

Klodt was a trained car driver and worked as a foreman at the German club Schalke iron works.
