Hans Leonhard Schäufelein

Hans ( Leonhard ) Schaufelin (also Schäufelein, Schäuffelein, Scheifelen, Scheuflin ) (c. 1480/1485 probably in Nuremberg, † 1538 or 1540 in Nördlingen ) was a German painter, printmaker, particularly wood -cutters and book illustrator Dürer time with the artist signs of shovel. Life

Little is known about the first two decades of life of Hans Schaufelin. 1503 to 1507 he worked in the workshop of Albrecht Dürer in Nuremberg.
