Hans-Peter Mayer

Hans -Peter Mayer ( born May 5, 1944 in Riedlingen ) is since 1999 the CDU MEP for Lower Saxony in the European People's Party.

Career

After his second state examination in law and his Doctorate in Law. utr. He began in 1975 as an independent lawyer in Bad Waldsee, where he was also city council from 1975 to 1980. During these years he worked in an honorary capacity as Chairman of the City Youth Council and as chairman of the Free Catholic Schulwerk " Eugen Bolz " with pre- kindergarten, elementary and secondary school. He had come on entry 1968 in the Young Union 1975 CDU. In 1980, he was until 1990 Professor of Law and Public Administration at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences of North Germany with the departments in Vechta and Osnabrück. He is a member of the Legal Affairs Committee. Since 2006 he is a member of the executive committee of the CDU Lower Saxony.
