Hans -Peter Neuhaus ( born June 18, 1945 in Stebbach, Heilbronn ) is a former national handball player from Dortmund. Between 1966 and 1972, the back player played 79 international matches, throwing 41 goals. ( In Rosters it is partially out as Peter Neuhaus. ) Peak of his sporting career was the participation in the Olympic debut of hall handball at the Summer Games in Munich in 1972, where used, he came in all six games of the German selection. After his active career as a player Hans -Peter Neuhaus was also active as a coach in the Handball - Bundesliga and now works as a youth coach.

Sports career

Hans -Peter Neuhaus began his athletic career in 1961 in the Handball Department of ÖSG Viktoria Dortmund 08 and played in the county, Westphalia and junior selection. It was a small sensation in the German handball that he received an international match invitation as 1965 District league players. There followed a career in the national team and league players than at TuS 05 Dortmund- Wellinghofen, where he was active from 1966 to 1976. It was still common until 1972 that handball was played in summer field handball and in the winter season. For both varieties there was ever a two-tier league. With his original club was Hans -Peter Neuhaus in the 1971 season of field handball league and in the 1973/74 season the hall Handball Bundesliga German vice-champion.

Hans -Peter Neuhaus took part in the 1970 World Cup in France, where the selection finished 5th. After the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972, in which the choice to place 6, finished Hans-Peter Neuhaus his international career.

After completion of the active time as a player Hans -Peter Neuhaus was a renowned handball coach. The OSC Dortmund he coached from 1976 to 1982 and from 1987 to 1992 and led the club in the season 1980/81, though.
