Hans Plenk

Hans Plenk ( born February 21, 1938 in Berchtesgaden ) is a former German luger.

Hans Plenk was one of the most successful German luger 1960s. He was like a well - earn achievements both in the doubles. In the first toboggan competitions at the Olympic Games 1964 in Innsbruck, he won the bronze medal behind Thomas Köhler and Klaus -Michael Bonsack. World Champion he was in 1965, 1961 and 1963 and second in 1960 third in both the individual as well as in doubles ( with Horst Tiedge ). German champion in singles it was 1959, 1961, 1963, 1964, 1968, and in the twin 1964 ( with Wolfgang Winkler ), 1965 ( with J. bunny head ) and 1968 ( with Bernhard Aschauer ). At the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in 1968, he was standard bearer of the German team.
