Hans Rådström

Hans Vilhelm Rådström (* 1919, † 1970) was a Swedish mathematician who focused on function theory and functional analysis.

Rådström was Torsten Carleman ( and Fritz Carlson ) at Stockholm University PhD ( Convexity and norm in Topological Groups). 1949 to 1950 he was at the Institute for Advanced Study, where he worked together with Olof Hanner. In 1952 he was a lecturer at the University of Stockholm and in 1969 professor at the University of Linköping.

He proved a follow named him embedding theorem ( the non-empty compact convex subsets of a real normed vector space can be isometrically embedded in a convex cone of a normed real vector space ).

His doctoral include Per Enflo and Martin Ribe ( which was but a doctorate until after his death).

In 1952 he was co-editor of Nordisk Matematisk Tidskrift.
