Hans Rampf

Johannes " Hans " Rampf ( born February 2, 1931 in Bad Tolz, † 5 May 2001, Murnau ) was a German ice hockey player and both players and coach of the German national team.

He began his career in 1948 at EC Bad Tolz, for whom he played 640 games. In the season 1961/1962 he was appointed as player-manager with his team of German champions. In the season 1964/65 he was the last time a player and coach at the same time, because after that he devoted himself entirely to the work as a trainer. Here then followed the EC stations Düsseldorf from 1965 to 1969 ( with them he became German champion in 1967 ), 1969-1971 SC Riessersee, in the 1971/72 season Augsburger EV, 1972-1975 EC Bad Tolz, from 1975 to 1977 and again from 1981 to 1992 junior national coach ( between short while EV Landshut and Düsseldorf EC) and 1977-1981 national coach.

Internationally, he played 101 matches for the German national team, in which he scored 18 goals. He took in two Olympic Games (1956, 1960) and participated in nine World Ice Hockey Championships. His biggest international success was the silver medal at the Ice Hockey World Championship in 1953.

For his achievements, he was honored with induction into the Hall of Fame Germany and the IIHF Hall of Fame.
