Hans Rausing

Hans Rausing ( born 1926 ) is an entrepreneur and son of Tetra Pak founder Ruben Rausing.

Since he sold his share of Tetra Pak in 1996 to 7 billion U.S. dollars to his brother, Gad Rausing, he is considered one of the richest people in the world. Rausing has lived in his adopted home of England, in Wadhurst, East Sussex, where he owns extensive lands. In 2001 Hans Rausing rose as a major investor in the Swedish company EcoLean. EcoLean, like Tetra Laval worked in the packaging industry.

Rausing was listed by Forbes Magazine in 2008, with an estimated personal fortune of 10 billion U.S. dollars to place 77 of the richest people in the world.

Rausing is the father of Hans Kristian Rausing.
