Hans Reinowski

Hans Johann Reinowski ( born January 28, 1900 in Bernburg; † 3 January 1977) was a German SPD politician, writer and newspaper editor.

Reinowski was 1922/23, Chairman of the Socialist Working Youth ( SAJ ) in Braunschweig and secretary of the "hawks". From 1923 to 1933 he worked as SPD district secretary and managed since 1928, the " Red People's Cinema " in Braunschweig. After the " seizure of power" of the Nazis, he fled with his family into exile via Denmark to Sweden, from where he returned in 1945 to Germany.

Shortly after his flight from Braunschweig his report was published "Terror in Braunschweig", which is counted among the earliest documentation of Nazi terror after the takeover of the Nazi Party.

1947 Reinowski went to Darmstadt, where he was publisher and editor of the Darmstadt echoes. From 1969-1976 he was a member of the German Press Council. As a writer, he published, in part, under the pseudonym Hans Reinow.
