Hans Siemensmeyer

Siemens Hans Meyer ( born September 23, 1940 in Oberhausen ) is a former football player and played for Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the Oberliga West and the West Regional and for Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga.

In 1967, the midfielder met three times at the German national football team, scoring two goals. A brace he succeeded on his debut, a 5-1 victory against France in 1967. Was followed by two more missions in Hamburg against Yugoslavia ( 3-1 in the European Championship qualifier ) and in Bucharest against Romania (0-1) in each case without scoring.

1948 Siemens Meyer had started as an 8- year-old at Osterfeld 06 to play soccer. Originally he was inside forward. The qualified electrician Siemens Meyer came in 1960 by SV Osterfeld for which he played 06 to Rot- Weiß Oberhausen in 1960 to 1963 in the Oberliga West and from 1963 to 1965 in the Regionalliga West (then 2 league). In 1965 he moved to Bundesliga Hannover 96 where he played until their relegation from the Bundesliga in 1974. He finished at the end of the 1973/74 season his career in professional football, as he held a half- day place at Stadtwerke Hannover since January 1974. 1 January 1974 Siemens Meyer took a half-day job as a clerk at the Stadtwerke Hannover.

He is regarded as the best player, the Hannover 96 have ever had. Between 1965 and 1974 he made 278 Bundesliga games and scored 72 goals, which he is top scorer of Lower Saxony in the German top flight until today. He also came up with 14 missions and 7 goals in the Fairs Cup and to 20 games and 4 goals in the DFB Cup. He finished his playing career at Hannover 96 His greatest successes are the places nine (1967 and 1971) and ten ( 1968) in the Bundesliga.

Beginning in 1975, supervised Siemensmeyer TSV Havelse and led him within ten years in the Regionalliga Nord. At the beginning he was still running even sporadically as a player. In 1984 he returned to Hanover and became a successful coach of the youth. In the 1988/1989 season, he was on 19 September 1988 to March 21, 1989 coach of Hannover 96

As a tribute to his achievements as a player and scorer in Hanover Hans Siemensmeyer represented as an official ambassador for the 2006 World Cup, the venue of Hanover. The former national player was thus one of the 12 volunteer sports stars, representing her city at promotional events for the World Cup.
