Hans von Blixen-Finecke

Hans Gustaf von Blixen - Finecke ( born July 25, 1886 Næsbyholm castle at Trelleborg, † September 26, 1917 in Penzance ) was a Swedish dressage rider and fighter pilot. He was the father of Hans junior Blixen - Finecke and twin brother of Bror Blixen - Finecke.

Blixen Finecke was a lieutenant in the regiment of dragoons of Skåne. At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 he won with his horse Maggie the bronze medal in dressage individual competition. In 1915, he took flying lessons and received a 23 Swede the flight Diploma of the Royal Swedish Aero Club. He was killed when his reconnaissance plane in the air caught fire and crashed.
