Hansabank

The Hansa Bank (Estonian Hansapank ) was the largest Kredititinstitut in the Baltics. Your equity amounted to 1.411 billion euros (as of 31 December 2006); the balance sheet total amounted to 19.392 billion euros (as of 31 December 2006). It employed 8,442 employees at 31 December 2006. In addition to branches in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania some exist in Russia, especially in the Kaliningrad region, Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

It was created as a spin-off of Tartu Kommertspank ( Tartu Commercial Bank ) in 1991. Officially started the activity on 10 January 1992.

Since 2005, the Hansa Bank is wholly owned by Swedbank; currently (September / October 2008) is the appearance of the Hansa Bank adjusted the Swedbank.
