Hapoel Ashkelon FC ( Hebrew: מועדון כדורגל הפועל אשקלון, Moadon Kaduregel Hapoel Ashkelon ) is an Israeli football club from Ashkelon.

History

The club was founded in 1955 played for decades unterklassig until 1997 for the first time promotion to the highest Israeli league, Hapoel Ashkelon but the only one year belonged. 2007 was Ashkelon as a second division side in the final of the Israeli State Cup, where they lost to Hapoel Tel Aviv 4:5 (1:1) in a penalty shootout. In the same season the club was relegated to the third tier, but managed with two consecutive rises in 2009 and 2010, the return to excellence.
