Hapoel Kfar Saba F.C.

Hapoel Kfar Saba ( Hebrew: מועדון כדורגל הפועל כפר סבא, Moadon Kaduregel Hapoel Kfar Saba ) is an Israeli football club based in Kfar Saba.

History

The club was founded in 1928 and rose four years after Israel's founding the first time in the top flight. Hapoel took in 1975 when he won the Israeli Cup his first title. This success was repeated in 1980. In the season 1981/1982 Kfar Saba won for the first and only time the Israeli championship. The master trainer was Dror Kashtan, who trains later at other clubs most successful Israeli football coach ever and became today the Israeli national team. The association, however, experienced a renewed except Cup win in 1990 a rather checkered history with various ups and downs. From 2005 to 2008 Hapoel Kfar Saba played in the first division, but is now back second-rate.
