Action
The series takes place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from mid-1950s to mid -1960s.
It focuses on the three friends Richie Cunningham, Warren " Potsie " Weber and Ralph Malph, as well as Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli, called Fonzie, a former gang member who has left his criminal past behind and now especially in the three friends as a counselor, things girls acts. Other characters are Richie's parents, Howard and Marion, his sister Joanie and Al Delvechio ( owner of the home premises of friends). Later, Charles " Chachi " Arcola, the cousin of Fonzie, added.
The series follows the life of the main characters from teenage to adulthood. Both in the U.S. and in Germany the series was a great success.
In the U.S., a scene was legendary, in the Fonzie water skis jumped over a shark and the term Jump the shark coined, which is now used for the moment in which the audience becomes clear that each series has passed its creative peak.
