Happy End ( Nowhere to Go But Up ) is an American- French- German comedy film directed by Amos Kollek from 2003.
Action
The 23 year-old Frenchwoman Val Chipzik has many dreams. She travels to New York City to become an actress. There they done gigs and sleeping in the front yard of the scriptwriter Jack. With the money they paid for their training in the dream job.
Jack is initially annoyed by Val, she brings him to the idea of a successful screenplay. Jack falls in love with her and calls of the film people who want to turn it to his script that he can say in the vacant lead actress.
Reviews
The Journal prisma wrote that the film was a " light comedy " and therefore different from the other films by Amos Kollek. The " fairytale story " was inspired by the character of Holly Golightly from the film Breakfast at Tiffany's.
The magazine TV Movie wrote that the film was a " spun - frivolous tale with original people," typical of the director. The plot WOULD "pretty attached ".
