Harald Ambros

Harald Ambros ( born March 19, 1980 in Linz) is an Austrian eventer.

Life

Ambros was born in Linz as the second- eldest son of a car dealer, and grew up in All Saints in Mühlkreisautobahn together with his four siblings. He studied dentistry and a doctorate herein. After a year of practice in a dental clinic he plans to open his own practice.

Sports career

Ambros has been riding since the age of six, first leisure moderate, graduated 1995, the license check on his first show horse, Nimmerdor, and took in sequence to the first tournaments for eventing in part. As early as 1995 he won 2nd place at the Austrian Youth Championship of versatility in Aspangbahn. In connection with his athletic career, he is at the Austrian Federal Army athletes. This was followed by an Upper Austrian Vice State Champion Junior in 1997 and an Upper Austrian junior national champion in 1998, an Upper Austrian national champion in the general class and 2001 third place in the Austrian State Championship Eventing 2001 field stream.

He was surprisingly European Champion Young Riders in Iserlohn and thus the first European champion in the history of versatility riding in Austria in 2001.

Ambros coaches were among others in dressage Christian Stelzl, Fritz and Eugen Gaulhofer Schadler, in jumping from farmers and Manfred Bernhard Maier, eventing Horst Karsten.

  • 2005 Austrian National Champion ( Eventing ) with Miss Ferrari
  • 2005 European Championship Blenheim Palace, with participants Miss Ferrari
  • 2007 European Championship in Pratoni del Vivaro (Italy ), participants with Gidran Nimfa
  • 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, the most successful Austrian number 31 with Miss Ferrari
  • 2008 Olympic Games in 2008, participants in Hong Kong with Quick
  • 2009 European Championships in Fontainebleau, 10th place with Quick
  • 2010 World Championships in Lexington, the only Austrian in 28th with Quick
  • 2012 Olympic Games in 2012, participants in London with O- Feltiz
