Hardwell ( born January 7, 1988 in Breda, Robbert van de Corput actually ) is a Dutch DJ and music producer in the areas of House, Electro and Progressive.

Biography

Life

Hardwell was born in 1988 in Breda and started early to orient for music. At eight, he was greatly inspired by house music and began his career as a DJ 13. Gained fame Hardwell with his bootleg remix of Show Me Love vs. Be by Steve Angello, Laidback Luke and Robin S.. In 2006 he released his first single titled Play It Around, which was at a huge club hit. This single earned him a big name in the field of electronic music.

2008: Musical breakthrough

Together with the also Dutch DJ R3hab, he recorded a remix to the song Toys Are Nuts by Gregor Salto and Chuckie. The remix occupied for weeks # 1 on the dance charts. His remix of the track You Do not Love Me by Sidney Samson and Skitzofrenix was a great success. Since the cooperation with R3hab they worked on many other own songs, remixes, and common.

In 2009, he stepped on the Dance Valley Festival, the largest festival in the Netherlands and founded a year later, in 2010, his own label Revealed Recordings, in which he both his own songs, albums and compilations, as well works by electro DJs like Dannic, Dyro or W & W published.

Since 2011: Contract with Kontor Records

In 2011 he signed a recording contract with the German dance label Kontor Records, standing by the artists such as RIO, DJ Antoine and Mike Candys under contract. Since then, many of his singles reached the Dutch charts.

In particular, the title Cobra, who was elected to the anthem for the Energy 2012, Encoded, Call Me a spaceman, which serves as the club hit of the year 2012 and Zero 76, a co-production with Tiësto, with whom he toured for several months in North America. Both DJs are from Breda and 076 is the telephone area code of Breda. He was booked at numerous music festivals over the summer, such as the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Tomorrowland Belgium, Creamfields in England and the Electric Zoo Festival in New York City.

After Hardwell 2012 100 reached the sixth place in the ranking of the DJ Mag Top, he was elected by the voters of the 2013 DJ Mag for best DJ. With an age of 25 he is the youngest DJ in the 100 DJs of the DJ Magazine ever won first place in the selection of the top.

The single Apollo, which was released on February 1, 2013, was another huge success and made ​​him famous throughout Europe. It reached high in the charts in Austria, Belgium, Flanders and Wallonia, France and the Netherlands. The singer of the song is Amba Shepherd. A short time later, the song Never Say Goodbye, which represents a similar style and developed into a club hit appeared.
