Hargicourt (Somme)
Hargicourt is a North commune ( as at 1 January 2011) with 406 inhabitants in Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier, is part of the Communauté de communes du canton de Montdidier, in the canton Montdidier.
Geography
Separate from the neighboring village of Pierrepont- sur -Avre only by the small river community lies in the valley of the Trois Doms at its confluence with the Avre to the department D83 and D483 roads, 11 km north of Montdidier. By municipality, the railway Amiens - Montdidier runs with a breakpoint.
History
The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
