Hari Dev Joshi

Harideo ( Haridev ) Joshi (Hindi: हरिदेव जोशी, Haridev Josi; born December 17, 1921 in Khandu, Rajasthan, † March 28, 1995 in Mumbai, Maharashtra ) was an Indian politician of the Indian National Congress, a three-time Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Governor the states of Assam, Meghalaya and West Bengal.

Life

Joshi began his political career in 1957 when he was elected as a candidate of the constituency Ghatol the first time for the Members of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly before he was re-elected in 1967 as a candidate for the electoral district of Banswara until his death in 1995 seven times in the Parliament of the State and 1985 a record of 82.65 percent of the votes scored.
