Harley Miller

Harley Miller was an American production designer, who has been nominated once for an Academy Award for Best Production Design.

Life

Miller began his career as a set designer in the film industry in Hollywood in the romantic comedy Mexican Spitfire 's Elephant (1942 ) by Leslie Goodwins with Lupe Velez, Leon Errol and Walter Reed. Throughout his career lasted until 1957, he was involved in the production of nearly fifty films.

At the Academy Awards in 1944, he was nominated together with Albert S. D' Agostino, Carroll Clark and Darrell Silvera for the Academy Award for Best Production Design, and indeed for the black and white film escape to freedom ( Flight for Freedom, 1943). In this directed by Lothar Mendes biopic about Amelia Earhart Rosalind Russell, Fred MacMurray and Herbert Marshall played the lead roles.
