The Harlyberg is with 255.9 meters above sea level. NN is the highest mountain in the Harly Forest, Landkreis Goslar ( southeastern Lower Saxony, Germany ).

Part of the expression Harlyberg is also used as a synonym name for the entire Harly forest, but which is not considered that there are other peaks in this mountain range.

Geography

The mountain is located about 2 km north-west of Vienenburg. He can be reached via the forest and hiking trails leading through the Harly Forest - for example, on the ridge trail. Almost exactly 2 km southeast is the site of the former Harlyburg.

Harlyturm

On the top of Harlybergs is the Harlyturm, an observation tower, which was handed back to the tourist use after decades of neglect and after extensive restoration in 1986. It is open when the flag flies on its roof.
