Harmful

Harmful was a 1992-2014 German active noise rock band from Frankfurt am Main.

Band History

After the founding of the band initially recorded demos and played concerts at the local level. 1995 Harmful wrote the independent label BluNoise, in the attached studio self-titled debut with Guido Lucas was produced in the same year. There followed a first Germany tour.

1997, went on tour to France. The same year, again produced by Lucas second album was released Apoplexy.136. In the following years, the band earned among other things, opening for Clutch, Helmet, Machine Head, Paradise Lost, Prong, Slayer and Unsane and on several headlining tours greater awareness.

In 1999 the band to major label EMI, where the third, taken by Dave Sardy album should be released. Since this was the label too bulky, it separated again by the band, who then found refuge at BMG Ariola, where also the fourth album was published. Then separated also from this label, the following album Sanguine published on SPV and then wrote in Noise -o- lution, who issued 2005 Sis Masis.

In February 2007, the seventh album Harmful 7, which was produced by former Faith No More bassist Billy Gould appeared. This rose hereinafter at times as a permanent member of Harmful and was also involved in the subsequent tour the band. Due to this connection Harmful was posted in 2009 as a support band for a reunion show by Faith No More.

2010 was followed over the next PIAS Harmful album Cause that was replayed without the participation of Gould. For this, the band was able to win Dave Sardy for the mix of the album again. 2013 appeared again on the PIAS produced by Moses Schneider Album Sick And Tired Of Being Sick And Tired. Then was heard on drums, after Nico Heimann Harmful had left for personal reasons Florian Weber (Sportfreunde Stiller ). Before the release, the album could be heard in full on the website of the magazine Visions.

In March 2014 Harmful went into the original cast on farewell tour across Germany. The last appearance on March 16 in Frankfurt's Zoom was recorded, and should be accompanied by a live album for Vault subscribers free of appearing in the April 2014 issue of the music magazine Visions.

Side projects

Aren Emirze and Chris Aidonopoulos to 2001 were parallel in the band Mad cow disease is active.

Emirze also published in 2006 under the name Emirsian the solo album A Gentle Kind of Disaster, on which he combined the experience with his main band and influences from The Beatles, Elliott Smith and Elvis Costello, as well as from his Armenian homeland after self-reported. 2008 was followed by the second album Yelq, 2011, the double album Accidentally In Between.

2008 Emirze also played in the band project afraid of clowns, in which Gerd Knebel was active as a singer.
