Harmsdorf

Harmsdorf is a municipality in the district of East Holstein in Schleswig -Holstein. Einhaus, Güldenstein, Kayhof, Rantzaufelde and Wahrendorf lie in the municipality.

Geography, Infrastructure and Transport

Harms village is located about 4 km north- west of Lensahn and the motorway junction of the same name A1/E47 and about 11 km southwest of Oldenburg in Holstein.

Policy

Of the nine seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the local elections 2008 six seats and the SPD has three.

Coat of arms

Attractions

With the construction of the mansion on Good Güldenstein was started in 1726. The plans were drawn by architect Rudolph Matthias Dallin. The owner was Henry of Thienen. It is an oval-shaped island surrounded by a moat. Is the double coat of arms Thienen / Brockdorff Above the entrance portal.
