Harold Jack Bloom

Harold Jack Bloom ( born April 26, 1924 in New York City; † August 27, 1999 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American screenwriter.

Life

Bloom worked as a writer since the late 1940s. His focus was always on the television. He developed with emergency California in the 1970s, his own TV series and been involved as an author in different series. Also in the 70 years he was involved as a producer on the film series Hec Ramsey. His last screenplay was written in 1989 for the TV movie A lot of coal in the case. Overall, Bloom was involved in more than 40 productions.

Bloom was originally designed as a screenwriter for the movie James Bond 007 - You only live twice provided. Ultimately, Roald Dahl presented the final script and Bloom himself was called under "Additional Story Material by Harold Jack Bloom ".

For the screenplay for Naked violence Bloom was nominated with Sam Rolfe in 1954 for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

Bloom was married twice. From his marriage with actress Carolyn Kearney (1930-2005) a child went forth.
