Harold Lockwood

Harold Lockwood ( born April 12, 1887 in Newark, New Jersey; † October 19, 1918 in New York ) was an American actor of the early silent film era.

Life

Lockwood was. , Having appeared as in the rotated by Allan Dwan film David Harum (1915 ) one of the most popular actors of his time Along with May Allison, he formed one of the first romantic film duo. During the First World War and Allison Lockwood played together in some 25 other films. Despite rumors to the contrary, the two at no time did however an affair.

Lockwood was one of those silent film sizes in the masterpiece of silent film director David Wark Griffith, Intolerance ( 1916) play the game. His colleagues included, among other things, Mary Pickford, Wallace Reid, Douglas Fairbanks Sr. and Robert Harron.

In October 1918, Lockwood died at the age of 31 years of the Spanish flu, which occurred until the early twenties in the United States and worldwide approximately 50 million human lives.
