Harold Wallace

Harold Wallace McDonald ( born September 7, 1975 in Heredia ) is a former Costa Rican football player.

Wallace began in the youth of the capital club Deportivo Saprissa and arrived there in the first team. In 1995 he moved for the first time for part of the season to Mexico to Zacatepec. On his return he joined the league rivals LD Alajuelense. In 1995, he was also in the national Under-21 team at the Junior World Championships and came afterwards in the senior team for use.

Since then he has been a fixture in the League at Alajuelense as the national team on the right side of the defense or in the midfield. In the club, he won six league titles and the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

After his participation in the 2002 World Cup, where he was employed in all three games of his country, he took a season out at Real San Luis Potosi in Mexico, before he returned to Alajuelense. He was one of nine players who experienced after 2002 at the Football World Cup 2006 in Germany their second World Cup. Despite an injury before he was in the World Cup squad of Costa Rica and also came twice used. In 2009 he reached the semi-finals with Costa Rica at the CONCACAF Gold Cup and denied doing his 100th game, but lost to Mexico with 3:5 on penalties. His 101 and last match he played on 12 August 2009 when lost with 0:4 World Cup qualifier against Honduras.
