Harp guitar

Harp Guitar or Guitar Harp (English harp guitar) denotes a not clearly defined group of historical and contemporary case necked lutes, the same string level have other strings in addition to on a guitar running through a fingerboard strings that are plucked unabridged and reminiscent of a harp. By additionally attached strings bundle the sound spectrum bass or drones are added which serve to extend the harmony structure.

In the Alpine region the Kontragitarre or scratchy guitar is the most common form of the harp guitar.
