Harrison County (Missouri)

The Harrison County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. In 2010, the County had 8957 inhabitants and a population density of 4.8 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Bethany.

Geography

The County is located in northwestern Missouri and is bordered to the north by Iowa. It has an area of 1882 square kilometers, of which 3 square miles is water area. At the Harrison County borders the following Nachbarcountys:

History

The Harrison County was formed in 1834. It was named after Albert G. Harrison, a member of the Congress of the United States.
