Andersson played for IK Sleipner in the Fotbollsallsvenskan. In 1935, he was charged with 23 goals this season top scorer of the league in 1938 with the Association of Swedish champion.
Andersson was also the Swedish national team. For the Blågult he took part in the World Cup 1938. In the 8-0 victory over Cuba on June 12, in the quarterfinals of the tournament he scored three goals. At the end Andersson, who played in all three games, with the team finished fourth.
