Harry C. Stutz

Harry C. Stutz ( * 1876 in Ohio; † 1930 in the United States) was an American automobile entrepreneur, engineer and inventor in the automotive industry.

Stutz grew up on the family farm in Ohio, where he took care of the maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery. His first car he built in 1897, then a second of their own design, which had a gasoline engine. In 1905 he designed a car for the American Motor Car Company in Indianapolis. Soon, however, he left the company and founded his own company, which he later renamed Stutz Motor Company. He also founded the Stutz Fire Engine Company and the HCS. Motor Car Company 1919. 1929 he founded continues the Stutz- Bellanca Airplane Company.

After his death he was buried in the cemetery Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
