Harry Hemley Plaskett

Harry Hemley Plaskett ( born July 5, 1893 in Toronto, † 26 January 1980) was a Canadian astronomer. His father was the astronomer John Stanley Plaskett.

Plaskett was 1932-1960 Savilian Professor of Astronomy at the University of Oxford. In 1963 he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society.

His research interests were solar physics, astronomical spectroscopy and spectrophotometry.
