Harry Hopman

Henry Christian Harry Hopman ( born August 12, 1906 in Glebe in Sydney, † 27 December 1985) was an Australian tennis player.

He won in his career 1930-1939 in seven doubles and mixed doubles Grand Slam tournaments. But He was more successful as Davis Cup captain. He led Australia 1939-1967 to a total of sixteen successes, making him the most successful team captain at all.

According to him, the Hopman Cup is named, a mixed event in tennis.
