Harry Koch

Harry Koch (born 15 November 1969 Bamberg ) is a former German football player and current coach.

Career

The 1.84 m wide defender came in 1995 from the third division TSV Vestenbergsgreuth 1 FC Kaiserslautern. In his first season he went with FCK from the 2nd Bundesliga, but won the DFB-Pokal. According to the Direct resurgence he became German champion in 1998 with the FCK. He graduated to 2003 220 league games for FCK, including 187 in the Bundesliga. In the Palatinate, he was crowd favorite because of his fighting spirit. In addition, Koch was a safe Penalty taker: He transformed into the national leagues 11 of 12 penalties.

Then the native Franke played two years in the second division and one year in the Regionalliga Süd for Eintracht Trier. 2006 ended his playing career. He was coach of the Rhine land division SV Dörbach, in which he replaced Werner Kartz in September 2006. After the descent of the association in the District League West and the departure of several players Koch resigned as manager in July 2011.
