Harry Perry (cinematographer)

Harry Perry (* May 2, 1888; † 9 February 1985 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California ) was an American cinematographer.

Life

Perry began his career as a cameraman in the film industry in Hollywood in the movie The Sins of Rosanne (1920 ) and turned over his career nearly 30 films.

For his camera work in Hell's Angels (1930 ) he was nominated along with Tony Gaudio at the Oscar ceremony in November 1930 for an Oscar for Best Cinematography.

Other well-known films made with him as a cameraman, were Shadows (1922 ) Wings (1927 ) and Corvette K 225 ( 1943). He worked with film directors such as Tom Forman, William A. Wellman, Howard Hughes and Richard Rosson.
