Harry Saltzman

Harry Saltzman ( born October 27, 1915 in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, † 28 September 1994 Paris, France) was an American film producer.

Harry Saltzman in 1961 acquired the rights of the then very successful fictional character of secret agent James Bond of Ian Fleming and found with Albert R. Broccoli a financially strong partner to produce a cinema series. The joint film company Eon Productions Ltd.. brought forth as a result of the most successful movie series in the world.

Saltzman, however, rose in 1975 for personal reasons and sold his share of United Artists.

In 1994, he died of a heart attack.
