Harry Sinclair

Harry Alan Sinclair ( born 1959 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a New Zealand film director, writer and actor.

Career

Harry Sinclair was born the son of the historian and poet Sir Keith Sinclair and Mary Sinclair, Auckland. He studied acting at the Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris.

Sinclair was a member and performer in the musical he co-founded The Front Lawn.

In the short film Walkshort he wrote the screenplay and was also part of the cast. With the Lounge Bar and Linda 's Body followed by two more short films according to this principle, only he was additionally director; in the latter he was also a producer. International recognition as an actor he gained The Lord of the Rings film trilogy through his portrayal of Isildur in Peter Jackson. More famous works as a screenwriter or director are The Price of Milk with Karl Urban in the title role and the television series 90210th

On 5 December 2008 he married the script writer and producer Rebecca Rand Kirshner.
