Harshavarman I.

Harshavarman I ( † 923 ) reigned 910-923 the Khmer Empire.

After the death of his two sons Yasovarman I followed on the throne. The Khmer Empire seemed to dissolve rapidly after the death of her father. Harshavarman I, the elder son of Yasorvaman I., took 910 AD in the first year of power, he continued his government in the capital of Yashodharapura continued. The two brothers were maternal involved in a power struggle with Jayavarman IV, her uncle. The uncle may have been deducted from Angkor to build his own capital at a distance of about 100 kilometers.

Little is known about Harshavarman, to hear that he built a small temple mountain of Baksei Chamkrong at the foot of Phnom Bakheng, which he dedicated to his parents. He died in 923 and was succeeded by his younger brother Ishanavarman II.
