Hartwig (lunar crater)

Hartwig is an impact crater on the westernmost edge of the lunar front side, just east of the crater Schlüter. The crater is very highly eroded the crater wall, especially in the southeast almost disappeared completely.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1964 by the German astronomer Ernst Hartwig.
