Harvey Prize
The Harvey Prize ( Harvey Prize ) is an annual award from the Technion in Haifa price in various disciplines, which alternate in a cycle of five years, in each year two prizes will be awarded:
- First and Third year: Two awards in science and technology
- Second and Fourth year: a prize in science and technology and in medicine and health (Human Health)
- Fifth year: a prize in science and technology, a prize for outstanding contributions to peace in the Middle East or for outstanding contributions to the economy or society.
Each prize is worth $ 75,000. He has been awarded since 1972. He is named after the industrialist ( Harvey Machine Company in Los Angeles, Harvey Aluminum Company ) and inventor Leo M. Harvey ( 1887-1973 ) named.
