Haselhorst (Berlin U-Bahn)

The metro station is a station Haselhorst of the Berlin U -Bahn line U7. It was opened as part of the extension of the U7 on 1 October 1984 to Rathaus Spandau and is located in the same district at the Ferdinand peace Castle Square. The station, which is referred to in the station list of the BVG as Hs, though has an escalator but no elevator, so it is referred to as non-accessible. By 2015, an elevator is to be installed and the station to be expanded barrier-free, this 2.1 million euro are provided. The platform is 110 meters long, up to the neighboring station citadel there are 1100 meters, for Paulsternstraße train station is 990 meters.

All underground stations between subway stations Rohrdamm and Rathaus Spandau, the architect Rainer G. Rümmler. While other stations, for example, Paul Stern and Rathaus Spandau appear particularly colorful or ornate, the hazel Horst station acts restrained and falls rather by its austere appearance and geometric lines. Rümmler used here an anthracite-colored wall paneling and an individual ceiling shape, so there are peculiar and interesting lighting effects.

In October 2006, the SNB left the ceiling in the entrance area Gorgasring remove, due to considerable vandalism until the spring of 2007, a new, vandal resistant ceiling was installed. A renovation of the comparatively young station is not currently planned.
