Hassan Mutlak

Ḥasan mutlak (* 1961 in the village Sudaira in Salah ad-Din ( province ), † 1990) was an Iraqi writer.

Life

Mutlaq studied in Mosul education and psychology and graduated in 1983. He did his military service and initiated a Teacher Training Institute in Kirkuk. Mutlaq was married and the father of two daughters.

He was hanged in 1990 at the age of 29 years for an attempted coup. He was among the intellectuals of his country and is also known as the Lorca of Iraq. He is the brother of the poet Muhsin Al- Ramli.
