Hassan Shehata

Hassan Shehata (Arabic حسن شحاتة Hasan Schihāta, DMG Ḥasan Šiḥāta; born June 19, 1949) is an Egyptian football coach.

Time as a player

As a player, he began his career with the Egyptian club Al- Zamalek for whom he played from 1967 to 1968, before he went to Kazma SC for two years to Kuwait. In 1971 he returned to Zamalek and played there until the end of his active career in 1983.

Shehata was 1976/77 with 17 goals and 1979/80 with 14 goals scorer Egypt. He brought it in the Egyptian league to a total of 77 goals for Zamalek. Between 1974 and 1980 he participated with the national team to three championships Africa.

As manager

Between 2001 and 2003, he supervised the junior national team of Egypt with which he was able to win the African Cup of Junior 2003. In 2008 he was awarded as Africa's coach of the year.
