Hassan Yousef

Sheikh Hassan Yousef ( born in 1955, grew up in al - Janiya ) is a Muslim brother and co-founder of Hamas.

Life

Sheikh Hassan Yousef studied in his younger years in Jerusalem religion. At the age of 18, he completed his studies and moved to Ramallah, where he worked as an imam. Mid-1970s, Yousef went to Jordan to study Islam more thoroughly. There he first came in contact with the Muslim Brotherhood.

In 1977, Hassan Yousef returned to Palestine and the Muslim Brotherhood began to breathe new life. He was supported by Ibrahim Abu l -Salem, one of the founders of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan. In the same year Yousef married his sister. Two years later, his son Mosab Hassan Yousef was born.

In 1985 the family moved to Yousef al - Bira and Hassan Yousef was moved Imam in al - Amari refugee camp.

In 1986, Sheikh Hassan Yousef founded during a secret meeting with 6 other people, Hamas.

In September 1987, Yousef religion teacher at a Christian private school in the West Bank.

From 2006 until August 3, 2011, he was because of his activities during the Second Intifada in Israeli custody. As part of a Ramadan amnesty he came to be arrested again after four weeks free.
