HAT-P-7b

HAT- P -7b is an exoplanet, orbiting the main sequence star HAT- P-7 every 2.205 days. Due to its high mass is assumed that it is a gas planet.

Discovery

Unlike the majority of exoplanets it has been discovered using the transit method. The planet was discovered by the HATNet Project in 2008.

Circulation and mass

The planet orbits its star at a distance of about 0.0377 astronomical units and has a mass of about 564.6 Earth masses and 1.776 Jupiter masses.
